This year's UIL contest will be held at Central Heights, Dec. 5th and 10th. For those of you who are new, we compete in various academic events against 3 other schools. If you volunteer to coach a team, you will be responsible for having tryouts to see which 4 students will be on the team, practicing either before school, during school, or after school with your team, and making sure you communicate with the team members' parents.
If you want to attend the event with your team you will put in for a sub that day. You will be monetarily compensated if you choose to coach. Below you will see the events that I need coaches for. I will provide you with materials and resources to help you get the team ready. Teams need to begin practicing as soon as possible, so if you are interested please let me know which event you want to coach asap.
If you have questions about coaching before making a decision just ask.

Events:
Creative Writing 2nd grade
Pre-math 3rd grade
Spelling 3rd grade
Ready Writing 3rd grade
Storytelling 3rd grade
Ready Writing 4th grade
Number Sense 4th grade

(You do not have to be a teacher in that grade level to coach it - this is a first come first serve basis. Email me if you want to coach one of these contest.)
